UCSB Visitor's Center
College of Engineering Prospective Student Visits
The College hosts a variety of sessions throughout the year (listed below) designed to introduce prospective students to the curriculum, research opportunities, study abroad, and the student experience in the College of Engineering at UC Santa Barbara.
Please note, due to the nature of the research conducted in labs, as well as labs being actively used, we do not offer tours of engineering labs or facilities. You may review a selection of photographs of lab spaces here, watch a student led video tour of an Electrical & Computer Engineering lab here, and tour the Machine Shop here.
Presentations for Prospective Engineering Students and Families
ONGOING: Check out our College of Engineering virtual open house webpage for examples of student research, virtual lab tours, and hear from current students and student organizations.
UCSB OPEN HOUSE spring 2025
The spring 2025 UCSB Open House will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025. Please visit the UCSB Admissions Open House page for the most up to date information and registration details.
Spring 2025 Engineering Presentations
Dates posted mid-February 2025. Learn about the engineering curriculum, research, education abroad opportunities, internships, and more! The session will be presented by an academic advisor from the College of Engineering and is best suited for students, friends, and family who have already been admitted to the College of Engineering at the freshman or transfer levels. Requirements for UC admission will not be covered in this presentation so prospective students and guests are strongly encouraged to attend a UC Santa Barbara Office of Admissions Campus presentation.
If you would like to visit UCSB another day or time of year, the UCSB Visitor's Center offers tours and presentations year-round. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate tours of our labs and engineering facilities. Enjoy a tour of various COE undergraduate labs here and a selection of photographs of lab spaces here. You may also view a student led tour of an ECE lab here, or view an additional tour of the Machine Shop here.
