UCSB College of Engineering ranks high
U.S. News & World Report Annual Ranking of America's Best Graduate Schools
The UC Santa Barbara College of Engineering is ranked nineteenth in the nation in the 2009 Graduate School Rankings recently published by US News & World Report. Two of the College’s departments are ranked in the top ten in the nation: Materials is ranked fifth, and Chemical Engineering is ranked ninth.Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) is tied for 18th in the Electrical/Electronic/Communications Engineering category, Mechanical Engineering is tied for 24th, and Computer Science (listed in the Sciences rather than Engineering) is ranked 37th in the nation this year
