Chancellor Yang elected a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers
Henry T. Yang, Chancellor of UC Santa Barbara and Professor of Mechanical Engineering, has been elected a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He was cited for sustained and significant research contributions in aerospace engineering and for his leadership in higher education in general and aerospace engineering in particular. Also, at its 65th Congregation next month, The Chinese University of Hong Kong will confer upon Yang an honorary Doctor of Science degree in recognition of his remarkable contributions to higher education, as well as his support for the academic development of the University.
