The average amount of research dollars per faculty member in the College of Engineering is $544,300, according to US News and World Report, 2006.
The Mitsubishi Chemical Center for Advanced Materials (MC-CAM) here has resulted in 33 scientific publications and 30 invention disclosures in its first five years, and Mitsubishi Chemical has taken options on 26 of those inventions.
A team of Mechanical Engineering students created a medical device that won $10,000 in the TMP New Venture Competition in May, 2006
