Presenter Instructions
Oral presentations:
Should be 15 minutes in duration followed by a 5 min Q&A, it should be geared for a broad, multidisciplinary audience. Include sufficient background and explanation for understanding by the layperson. You will be responsible for bringing your own laptop to give your presentation. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your session and contact the AV room representative, this will allow enough time to verify that your presentation and any media files are functioning correctly with time to make changes if necessary.
2011 UC Bio Engineering Symposium Poster Requirements
Posters should be prepared in landscape format (width greater than height) and the maximum available area on the poster boards for mounting posters is 68 inches wide by 44 inches high.
The posters will be mounted with push-pins (provided) onto a wooden framed bulletin board type surface, mounted on legs and wheels.
Posters will be displayed throughout the conference, and they should be staffed during the two poster sessions on Tuesday, June 14 from 10am - 12noon and on Wednesday, June 15 from 12noon - 2pm.
You are asked to drop off your poster at the registration desk upon arrival, preferable on Monday during open registration. You will be responsible for taking down your poster board immediately following the end of the poster session on Wednesday; posters boards will be pick-up at the completion of Wednesday’s poster session.
